ADVERTISEMENT FOR TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING STAFF POSITIONS

Elizade University is a private University situated at Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, Nigeria. The University represents the crowing effort of Elizade Ojo educational foundation and the Board of Trustees to contribute to the growth and development of tertiary education, and it is planned to make positive impact, within a short period, in the Nigerian University System.  The University aims to be an institution with the best traditions in the production of self-reliant, ethics-conscious, globally competitive and employable graduates imbued with requisite skills, competencies and ability to be key players in the nation’s quest for socio-economic and technological development.

 

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified, innovative, versatile and proactive candidates to fill the vacancies in the following Departments/Units of the University for teaching and non-teaching staff.

TEACHING STAFF POSITIONS:

There exists vacancies for the positions of (a) Professors, (b) Associate Professors, (c) Senior Lecturers, (d) Lecturers I and (e) Lecturer II in the following departments and areas:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Automotive Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Information & Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Performing and Film Art
  • Biotechnology
  • Environmental Management and Toxicology
  • Biochemistry
  • Applied Geophysics
  • Mass Communication
  • Law

 

QUALIFICATIONS

(a) Professor (EUASS 07)

Candidates should be holders of Ph.D degree from recognized Universities with at least ten (10) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must possess demonstrable competence to provide academic leadership. Candidates must also be specialists in core areas of departmental fields of study with evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies (where applicable).

(b) Associate Professor (EUASS 06)

Qualifications are as stated for Professors but with at least (8) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must have evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies (where applicable).

(c) Senior Lecturer (EUASS 05)

Qualifications are same as (b) above but with at least six (6) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must have evidence of at least twelve (12) scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies (where applicable).

(d) Lecturer I (EUASS 04)

Candidates should be holders of PhD from recognized Universities with at least three (3) years post-doctoral teaching, research and administrative experience in tertiary institutions, with evidence of at least four (4) journal articles in reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies (where applicable). Candidates with Master’s Degree with at least six (6) years post qualification teaching and administrative experience in tertiary institution, six (6) journal articles, evidence of PhD registration or Master’s CGPA of not less than 4.0/5.0 may also apply.

(e) Lecturer II (EUASS 03) (Mechanical and Automotive Engineering only)

Candidates should possess the same qualifications as (d) above or Master’s Degree with three (3) years teaching, research and administrative experience in tertiary institution, PhD registration or Master’s CGPA of not less than 4.0/5.0 and at least one journal publication, plus registration with relevant professional bodies.

 

SENIOR NON-TEACHING STAFF POSITIONS:

There exist vacancies for non-teaching positions in the different departments/units as listed below:

  1. REGISTRY

(i) Principal Assistant Registrar

  • (ii) Senior Assistant Registrar
  • (iii) Assistant Registrar
  • (iv) Confidential Secretaries

QUALIFICATIONS

(a) Principal Assistant Registrar (EUNASS 13)

Candidates must possess a good University Degree preferably in the Humanities, Law, Social Sciences or Management Sciences plus twelve (12) years cognate experience, six (6) of which must have been spent in a University system.

 

(b) Senior Assistant Registrar (EUNASS 11)

Qualifications are same as (a) above but with ten (10) years cognate experience, (5) of which must have been spent in a tertiary institution.

(c) Assistant Registrar (EUNASS 09)

Candidates should possess a good Honours Degree preferably in Law, humanities or Social Sciences from recognized Universities, plus seven (7) years cognate experience in a tertiary institution.

(d) Confidential Secretary (EUNASS 07)

The Candidates must possess Higher National Diploma (HND) in Secretarial Studies passed at minimum of Lower Credit level, with seven (7) years’ experience plus demonstrable ability for 60 words speed per minute in typing plus computer literacy. Also the candidates must have WASC/SSCE/GCE with at least 5 credits including English Language. In addition, the candidates should not only have a credit in English Language, but be proficient in oral and written English Language.

  1. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY UNIT

(i) Director, ICT

(ii) Web Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Director, ICT (EUNASS 13)

Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Management Information System with 12 years’ experience, five (5) of which should be in a tertiary institution, and be registered with the relevant professional bodies.

  • Web Manager (EUNASS 11)

Candidates should possess the same qualifications as above but should have ten (10) years’ experience, five (5) of which should be in a tertiary institution. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience in area of specialization. Experience in any of SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and Database, Scripting languages, MySQL Certifications, MCDBA, CCNA and CCNP would be required.

  • IMPORTANT NOTICE
  1. All candidates must possess NYSC Discharge Certificate or Certificate of Exception where applicable.
  2. Salaries, allowances and other conditions of service attached to the various positions are the same as approved for Federal Universities in Nigeria.

III.   Computer literacy is required for all advertised positions.
