Ilara-mokin community is in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State. It’s estimated population is about forty-five thousand (45,000) people. Living in a nuclear cluster settlement based on families and kinship .Their family structure is the traditional form with the Husband as the head of the family and his wife giving support. The King is the most superior Head, Spokesman and conflict resolution, his Chiefs and the High Chief Lisa Olamiloun II of Ilara-Mokin Kingdom (Dr Ayo Ojo) supports the King.
Ilara-Mokin (Yoruba: Ìlárá-Mọ̀kín) is a town located in a central part of Ifedore local government of Ondo State. Ilara-Mokin is well known for her rich and preserved culture, academics, agriculture and tourism. Ilara-Mokin is about 12 km from Ondo state capital, and has Ipogun, Ipinsa, Ikota, Ibule and Ero as neighbouring towns.
The people of Ilara-Mokin living in Nigeria and the Diaspora have attained Educational Qualifications at the Highest Levels Globally with a Majority of the population having the ability to read and write. The local residents of Ilara-Mokin are mostly Fish and Poultry farmers.
As part of Chief Michael Ade.Ojo's lifelong commitment to give back to his home town of Ilara-Mokin, the Construction of a new 18-hole Golf Course and Resort with a driving range and short game practice facility is underway. The Course has already been built to championship standard with state of the art features and materials. The Course, with its hotel and real estate units will be a unique facility in what shall be an emerging University town with the launch of Elizade University.
