The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC on Wednesday presented research grants worth N54,755,846.00 to the winners of the 2016 and 2017 Research Proposals from nine universities including Elizade University for development of the telecommunication industry. The Executive Vice Chairman of EVC, Prof. Umar Danbata (middle) flanked by the management team of the Commission, the Inter-Agency Committee and the award recipients at NCC head office, Abuja after the presentation of the award letters to successful projects for 2016/2017 Research Proposals from academia on Wednesday.

The 3rd Executive Council of the Student Consultative Forum of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State has been inaugurated.

Speaking while inaugurating the Forum, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Theophilus Fadayomi enjoined members of the Executive Council of the Forum to work in harmony with the University Management and their fellow students for their welfare and the achievement of the University’s mission and vision.

He said the essence of constituting the Forum was to create an avenue for the students to dialogue with the Management of the University on matters affecting their studentship and welfare. He warned against mistaking the Forum for student unionism.

A 500 level student of Automotive Engineering in Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Miss. Iyimide Shola-Shittu has won the 2018 edition of Queen Moremi Ajasoro competition organized by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi through one of his royal foundations, Queen Moremi International.
The contest which was a recreation of the legacy of the referred and legendary Queen Moremi Ajasoro had over 1,000 contestants, selected from Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun, Kwara, Kogi and Lagos States. The competition was to enable young Yoruba ladies discover their cultural identity and imbibe decent moral.
