Parents Commend Elizade Varsity on Discipline, Promise Continued Support to Varsity

Parents of students of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State have commended the Management of the University for prioritizing discipline among the students. The parents gave the commendation during their meeting with the Management of the University.

Speaking under the auspices of the Parents’ Forum of Elizade University, the parents expressed confidence in the authority of the University to instill the required discipline in the students. They lauded the efforts of the University Management to make the University free of drugs and other social vices which according to them, are rampant in many higher institutions of learning in the country.


On teaching and learning, the parents expressed satisfaction with the qualifications of the faculty and staff of the University. They particularly commended the University for securing accreditation for all the programmes offered by the University.

While expressing gratitude for the in-loco parentis roles played by members of staff of the University to the students, the parents noted that the University is home away from home. They promised the continued support of the Forum to the University.

In his remarks, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Theophilus Fadayomi appreciated the parents for the trust reposed in the University to train their wards. He lauded their support for the development of the institution.

The Don informed members of the Forum that the University has put everything in place to help the students achieve their aim of coming to the University. Prof. Fadayomi added that the University has subscribed to the dedicated electricity line from Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC). He said that the arrangement has afforded the University the opportunity of having electricity for minimum of 22 hours every day. The Acting Vice-Chancellor also affirmed that the construction of Dam in the University has enhanced the supply of water in the institution.

He promised that the University would not rest on its oasis.

Members of the Forum elected the new officers that would steer their affairs for the next four years. The elected officers are Prince Ademola Adewale (Chairman), Engr. (Mrs.) Oluwaseun Borokinni (Vice-Chairman), Mrs. Felicia Eghieye (Publicity Secretary), Mr. Benjamin Igoche (Treasurer) and Mr. Kolawole Osanyinbi (Financial Secretary) and Mrs. Genevieve Obadan, Principal Assistant Registrar, Elizade University who was appointed by the University Management to serve as Secretary.
