The Vice-Chancellor of Elizade University, Professor Kayode Ijadunola who received a delegation of Caleb University in his office said synergy remains the bedrock of development.
He expressed satisfaction at the collaborative efforts and linkages which are the hallmark of Ivory Towers, much as academic freedom is bringing about transformation of great magnitude.
All of these according to him speak to the creative energy, innovation and academic capacity being channeled to providing solution to numerous challenges.
The visitation team from Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Professor Sunday Adewale praised the organisation and structure of Elizade University.
He said the team was on a working visit to Elizade University for cross-fertilization of ideas, and said there was the need to constantly compare notes to engender best practices both in infrastructure layout, academics, administration and overhead cost management.
He pleaded with the Federal government to give Universities special concession regarding power supply tariff because the billing system is suffocating, more so, that utilization of energy in universities are mainly for research and related matters which are mainly non-commercial.
