Biography

Toju Babalola is an environmental engineer and climate science professional with over a decade of experience in water resources management, climate risk assessment, and adaptation planning. She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering.

She is a senior lecturer in the Department of Water Resources Management and Agro-Meteorology, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, where she teaches hydrology, environmental management, and water resources-related courses while supervising student research.

Her expertise spans integrated water resources management, environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and vulnerability assessments. In addition to her academic role, she works as a Climate Science Adaptation Expert, supporting national institutions across Africa in developing climate-resilient investment projects for the Green Climate Fund and Adaptation Fund.

She has led and contributed to multi-country climate risk assessments, capacity-building initiatives, and technical training programs across Africa. Her work integrates scientific research with practical solutions to strengthen climate resilience in sectors including water, agriculture, health, energy, and infrastructure.
