Engr. Dr. AKINRO Akinola Olusegun specialised in Soil, Water and Environmental Engineering. He holds a Higher National Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering, B. Eng (FUOYE), Advanced Certificate in Water Management from the Water and Energy Research Institute, Hannover, Germany; M.Eng in Soil and Water Engineering (FUTA, Akure), M.Eng Water and Environmental Engineering (EKSU, Ado Ekiti), MBA and Ph.D in Soil and Water Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure. At different times, He had served as: Head of Department of Civil Engineering Technology, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Director of Works and Maintenance Services, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (Nov 2011- Sept 2016 and Oct 2017 - Oct 2018), Director of Works and Services and member of the extended Management at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, (Oct 2016 – Sept 2017). He also served as Chairman and Member of various committees in both institutions. He was a Chief Lecturer at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Nigeria before his appointment as Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering Department at Elizade University, Ilara- Mokin, Ondo State, Nigeria. He is a Registered Engineer with COREN and member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Institution of Water Engineers (NIWE), Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE), International Association of Engineers (IAENG) among others. Dr. Akinro has contributed actively to several conferences, seminars and exhibitions. He had won several awards to his honour both locally and internationally. He has about twenty six (26) publications in learned journals and conference proceedings.
