Ajeigbe O.F is a doctor of Applied Biochemistry specializing in research in the area of Nutritional Biochemistry (attained at the Functional Food and Nutraceutical Research Laboratory at the Federal University of Technology Akure) and Molecular Drug Metabolism and Drug Toxicology research. Currently, she works as a lecturer (Lecturer II) of Biochemistry Programme in the Department of Physical and Chemical Science at Elizade University in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State. She is a scholar, researcher, and mentor to both undergraduate and graduate students.Her research interest focuses on the area of Food for health research, Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), Novel Drug Evaluation, Natural products and possible drug development, Functional Foods/ Nutraceuticals characterization, Oncology, Neuroscience, hypertension, erectile dysfunction and cardiovascular Research.
Miss AJEIGBE O.F. is a recepient of the African Young Scientist and has been awarded scholarships and national bursaries both at Masters and PhD level from the Federal Goverment of Nigeria during the course of learning. She is member of numerous organizations, including the Society of Toxicology, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, the Functional Food and Nutraceuticals Association of Nigeria, just to list a few. Her skills as a toxicologist and nutritional biochemist will be used to contribute to studies on non-communicable diseases, specifically cancer research, erectile dysfunction,hypertension and neuroscience in high impact journals recieving both travel and research grants (TETFUND and NRF) to this end. She has published work in highly esteemed international journals and served as a peer reviewer for reputable journals. She has a passion as an educator and considers her contributions and research will benefit this current generation address concerns with global wellness.
