The excursion featured students drawn from The Apostolic High School and Community Comprehensive High School, Ilara-Mokin.
The NGO, Miracle Michael Foundation, said the visit was part of its commitment to youth growth and development through educational exposure and career guidance.
Â
During the excursion, the students were introduced to a wide range of professional and skill-oriented programmes, including Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Law, Accounting, Computer Science, Mass Communication, Â International Relations and Political Science, among others.
Â
University officials described the visit as strategically important to the institution’s efforts at strengthening its admission drive, deepening town-and-gown relations, and further positioning Elizade University as a preferred destination for quality higher education in Nigeria.
Â
To ensure a rewarding experience for the visiting students, Deans of the various Faculties appointed experienced and inspiring lecturers who interacted extensively with the students on career prospects in different disciplines, admission requirements and subject combinations, opportunities available in various professions, as well as the importance of discipline, diligence and focus in achieving academic success.
Â
The students were also taken on guided tours of relevant laboratories, studios, and other academic facilities within the University, where they had first-hand experience of the institution’s modern learning environment, cutting edge technology and practical teaching infrastructure.
Â
The excursion provided the students with valuable insight into higher education opportunities and career pathways, while also strengthening the relationship between the University and its host community.
