ELIZADE UNIVERSITY RECORDS 100% SUCCESS IN MLSCN EXAMINATIONS, SECURES COREN ACCREDITATION FOR THREE ENGINEERING PROGRAMMES.
Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, has once again demonstrated its sustained commitment to academic excellence as its 400 and 500-level Medical Laboratory Science students recorded a 100 percent success rate in the Final Professional Examinations conducted by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
This remarkable achievement marks the second consecutive year the University will attain such an outstanding result, mirroring the similar feat achieved by its Nursing Department.
In another significant milestone, the Engineering Accreditation Committee (EAC) of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has granted Outcome-Based Education (OBE) accreditation to three of the University’s engineering programmes:
- Information and Communication Engineering
- Automotive Engineering
- Computer Engineering
This approval, conveyed in a letter signed by the Registrar/Secretary of EAC, Engr. Prof. O. A. U. Uche, FNSE, FNICE, followed the Committee’s comprehensive OBE accreditation visitation to the University.
Prof. Uche, in his memo to the Vice-Chancellor, congratulated Elizade University on the notable accomplishment and commended its provision of robust human and material resources that support the growth of its programmes. He further encouraged the institution to maintain its commendable adherence to quality standards.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sunday Babatunde Adeyemo, expressed immense pride in the University’s continued strides, noting that the twin achievements reflect the dedication of both academic and administrative teams. He applauded their commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service delivery, which continues to position Elizade University as a leading institution in Nigeria’s higher education landscape.
Professor Adeyemo also extended profound appreciation to the University’s Founder, Chief Michael Ade. Ojo, for his steadfast support and substantial investment in sustaining the University’s world-class vision.
The Registrar, Mr. Omololu Adegbenro, reiterated the University’s resolve to produce globally competitive graduates equipped not only for employment but also for entrepreneurial leadership in today’s dynamic marketplace.
Meanwhile, six accreditation teams from the National Universities Commission (NUC) have successfully concluded their evaluation and re-accreditation visits to the Faculty of Law and the Departments of Accountancy, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Micro- Biology, as well as Mathematics and Computer Science.
Speaking during the signing-off session, the Team Lead for the Computer Science re-accreditation, Professor Adebukola Onashoga, commended the University’s impressive staff mix, student-to-staff ratio, availability of modern equipment, and full compliance with NUC guidelines. The team also noted with satisfaction the University’s robust internet infrastructure with uninterrupted 24-hour connectivity.
The NUC accreditation teams encouraged Elizade University to sustain its upward trajectory and continue strengthening its global competitiveness.
