The research Department of West African Examinations Council is inviting interested persons to present paper(s) at her Seminar Series. The Seminar topics are expected to be on salient issues on the educational system of the country and particularly those that could promote efficiency of the Council and improve the performance of its candidates.

Topics in the areas of Testing, Assessment, Evaluation, Curriculum, Teachers’ Education, Education Psychology as well as Education Administration will be accorded preference. Other topics relevant to the functions and operations of the council as well as those geared towards solving some perenmial educational problems are equally welcome.

The seminar are usually held on weekdays (Monday to Friday) every month except during the conduct of the council’s examinations between May and July as well as November and December. Venue for the seminar is the WAEC International Office, Plot 6, Lateef Jakande Road. Opposite Acme Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos. However, seminars may be held in other states based on the request from states government and other relevant stakeholders subject to approval by the Council.

Participants at the seminars includes lecturers, classroom teachers, educational administrators, policy makers and other stakeholders in the educational sector. The seminars have proved to be academically enriching and attendance consistently impressive.

WAEC pays honorarium to only the Chief Discussants as well as cost of transportation while Chief Discussants from outside Lagos State are provided with accommodation.

Prospective Discussants should forward soft copy of their proposed papers to while the hard copy could also be forwarded to the Head, Research Department, Plot 6, Lateef Jakande Road, Opposite Acme Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja Lagos.
